ELC Bursar / Administration Assistant / Receptionist - Heritage College

Heritage College Early Learning Centre Narre Warren South is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented ELC Bursar / Administration Assistant / Receptionist to join our team on a fixed-term, part-time basis. This role is to cover maternity leave, working four days per week (30 hours per week) from June 2025 to June 2026.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate management of financial and administrative systems while providing high-quality reception services.

Requirements:

  • Valid Victorian Working with Children Clearance
  • Have 1-2 years of financial experience with previous experience in the early learning sector, preferably.
  • Proficiency in IT applications, including Microsoft and Google suites, is highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication skills ? both verbal and written

Applications

When putting together your application, it should contain the following:

  • A cover letter outlining why you want to work at ASV and why you are qualified for the position.

  • A CV/Resume stating your skills and experience, along with the names and contact information of three referees. Please note that referees need to include senior leaders who have supervised you in your work.

  • Interviews will be extended to shortlisted candidates. During the interview, you will have the chance to ask the selection panel questions during the interview and to present extra supporting documentation.

  • Reference checks. As part of the selection process, your referees will be contacted. Reference checks will be undertaken with child safety in mind.

Compliance Requirements

To keep our staff and students safe, all ASV employees are required to fulfil a number of important compliance obligations. The majority of these requirements will be communicated to prospective employees prior to commencing work, however in order to be hired by ASV, applicants must first satisfy the following compliance standards:
  • The Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) requires registration from candidates for teaching and learning positions.

  • All other non-teaching personnel must possess or be willing to obtain an Employer working with children check and where required a national police check prior to commencing employment.

  • All prospective employees and volunteers must abide by the College's Child Protection and Safety Policy and Child Safety Code of Conduct in order for the College to maintain its status as a child-safe workplace.

  • As part of your onboarding process, you will undertake mandatory training to enable you to approach your role with confidence.

  • Additionally, all new ASV employees must sign a declaration that they have read and understood these important child safety documents.
