Seventh-day Adventist Schools (Victoria) Limited is seeking an enthusiastic, engaging and innovative Secondary Bible Teacher to join our teaching team at Edinburgh College (Lilydale). In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to deliver the Seventh-day Adventist Encounter curriculum — a deeply engaging, experiential Bible curriculum designed to transform students' faith journeys.

You will inspire secondary students (Years 7–10) to explore scripture, engage in critical thinking about faith, and apply Christian values to contemporary life.

This is a part-time position (0.60 FTE) commencing Term 3, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

The focus of the classroom teacher is to plan, prepare and teach programs to achieve specific student outcomes. The classroom teacher will teach a range of classes and is accountable for the effective delivery of their programs. The classroom teacher utilises critical reflection in order to improve knowledge and skills to better engage students and improve their learning.

An integral aspect of the planning is to embed the spiritual characteristics and values of the school in all aspects of learning and teaching.

Application Requirements:

The successful applicant will hold a Bachelor of Education (or equivalent), registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and a understanding of the doctrines, tenets and beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist faith.
