Seventh-day Adventist Schools (Victoria) Ltd is seeking a passionate and dedicated School Chaplain to join the vibrant team at Henderson College. This is a full-time, ongoing role commencing Term 1, 2026.

The successful candidate will demonstrate that they:

  • Provide pastoral care and support for all students.
  • Work in consultation with the school’s Principal, student wellbeing team, and where applicable other school staff.
  • Ensure that school worship services are well organised and that quality speakers are arranged to provide a message consistent with the Christian ethos of the school.
  • Be available to take chapels, when asked, and plan, with the Principal or the Principal’s appointed assistant, a week of Spiritual emphasis.
  • Organise all rosters related to Worship, devotions, courses etc.
  • Give full attention to personal prayer and encourage the school community in their praying for the school.
  • Promote a positive atmosphere of celebration and praise in the school community.
  • Must be available to attend and be involved in all major school functions (eg. Speech Night and School Camp).
  • Consistently reflects the mission and values of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
  • Models the nurturing of personal spirituality and Christian care and compassion.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Education/Arts (Chaplaincy)

  • Hold a Working With Children Clearance (Employee).

  • Position is subject to maintaining Working With Children Clearance

Henderson College provides co-educational Christian education from 3 and 4-year-old Early Learning through to Year 10.
