Position: ICT Security Engineer

Role Description:

Seventh-Day Adventist School (Victoria) is seeking expressions of interest in the role of ICT Security Engineer to join the team at ASV's Head Office. This is a Full-time position commencing January 1st, 2025.

As the IT Security Engineer, you will be responsible for mitigating Adventist Schools Victoria's risk of cyber threats and attacks. They design, implement, and maintain security measures to protect sensitive information and ensure business continuity. Key responsibilities include risk assessment, vulnerability management, incident response, and compliance with security standards and regulations in line with Adventist Schools Victoria's strategic plan.

Applicants will need to demonstrate that they:

• Have completed, or working towards one of the following: Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering fields or/and IT industry certifications
• At least 1 year of experience within the IT industry in an IT security role
• Have excellent communication skills, including an ability to convey technical matters in plain English.
• Have strong technical skills with the ability to analyse problems quickly.
• Have a methodical and disciplined approach with the ability to work autonomously.
